Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
~Leo Buscaglia - Best Selling Author, Expert on Love
The video below entitled “The Hug Campaign†has been viewed over twenty four million times on You Tube.
The Hug Campaign is what Seth Godin refers to as being remarkable in his new book Meatball Sundae.
Millions of people have remarked about it and emailed and forwarded it to their friends.
The Hug Campaign has turned the musical group “Sick Puppies” into stars without being managed by a huge recording company.
“The Hug Campaign” may be a blueprint for your success in business and in life.
Why has The Hug Campaign been so hugely successful?
I think it is because in today’s society it has become easy to go through each day with minimal mental or physical touch.
We have replaced mom and pop shops with large impersonal mega stores that have automatic cashiers, banks have automatic ATM’s, many restauraunts have no waiters.
Many online stores have impersonal automated ticket systems or answering machines. (At SuccessCurrent.com we hate these impersonal systems and vow to never resort to using one.)
We treasure your input.
It is getting harder and harder to speak with a real person these days.
As a result many people are starving for personal touch, whether it is physical or mental.
For many people, especially the elderly their pets provide the only source of physical touch and unconditional love that they will receive on a daily basis.
To be successful in life or business you must find a way to connect with people on an emotional and personal level and people will literally beat a path to your door.
By being accessible and connecting with people you will become “remarkable” and successful.
Imagine having 24 million customers spreading the word about you because you are able to connect with them on a personal, spiritual and emotional level.
The hug campaign video proves that this is possible.
Author and Professor Leo Buscaglia became hugely popular in the 1970’s because he took the time to express his gratitude with his students and readers by giving them hugs.
At his book signings Buscaglia was said to have offered people a choice between his signature or a hug and the overwhelming majority of people chose to accept a hug from Buscaglia.
People loved Buscaglia for being so unique, warm, caring and personal.
Buscaglia was remarkable.
You can be remarkable also.
Maybe hugs are not your thing and that is okay but how about taking the time today to offer someone a word of encouragement or give someone a sincere compliment.
Your words of hope and encouragement may be what is needed to turn someone’s life around.
Please view the video below and please remember to be an encourager.

Thanks successcurrent for this video. I was not one of the 24 million people who have seen it originally.
It is good to spread the word of peace and happiness to the whole world.
