“How Come That Idiot’s Rich And I’m Not†is loaded with perspective-altering tips on how to make money outside the rat-race paradigm and leverage the power of relationships in ways no one ever talks about. If you take to heart the lessons in this book, you will find the abundance you’re searching for.â€
—Anthony Robbins, New York Times bestselling author of Awaken the Giant Within, Unlimited Power and Giant Steps
When I began reading Rich Idiot by Robert Shemin I did not like the cover or the title. I expected this to be another Rich Dad Poor Dad type book where the author boasts about his wealth and how smart he is for making a lot of money.
Several times I told myself that I was wasting my time by reading “How Come That Idiot’s Rich And I’m Not?”
Despite these early negative impressions I read on and now I am glad that I did.
Although Robert Shemin does do his share of boasting in this book he manages to balance the boasting with touching personal stories of caring and kindness.
The theme of How Come That Idiot’s Rich and I’m Not? Is that our schools and culture discourage creativity and risk taking. In school we are taught to be followers and find jobs where we work for others and have little freedom to use our time doing what we want to do.
In How Come That Idiot’s Rich And I’m Not?, Robert Shemin shares that growing up he was often referred to as being an “idiot†because he had a hard time reading (due to undiagnosed dyslexia) and as a result he did poorly in school.
Despite Shemin’s shortcomings he went on to become a New York Times best selling author and speaker.
You will be able to relate to Shemin’s story if you have ever been told by someone that you would “never make†it or “never amount†to anything.
Robert Shemin reveals in “How Come That Idiot’s Rich And I’m Not?”, That the key to wealth and happiness is in developing a wealth mindset and an upside down, out of the box way of thinking.
I was pleasantly surprised to see Rich Idiot take on a metaphysical and spiritual tone.
In chapter two Robert Shemin reveals what he calls “timeless secrets” that unlock the energy and spiritual energy of the universe.
In Rich Idiot Robert Shemin reveals not only how you can gain material wealth but he also helps you to discover how to connect with others and contribute your talents and gifts to the world.
Rich Idiot Will Also help You to Discover:
• How to play while your money goes to work
• How to stop building someone else’s business and build your own.
• Live and think like a millionaire while you are becoming one.
• Use the power and smarts of other “rich idiotsâ€
I must admit that this book was a little annoying to me because it repeatedly refers to “RUB’s†(people who are rightside up and broke) and Rich Idiots (people to include Robert Shemin who took an upside down and unconventional path to wealth.
However the good points and lessons in How Come That Idiot’s Rich and I’m Not? Far outweigh the bad and if you are interested in building wealth and happiness in your life you will definitely want to add this book to your success library.
