I wanted to give you an update on my progress with my TRX Suspension Trainer.
In case you missed my review of the TRX Suspension Trainer you can find it here: http://www.successcurrent.com/main/trx-suspension-trainer-review/
I began working out with my TRX Suspension trainer in Mid January of 2008.
At age 47 I was not in the best of shape due to years of sitting behind a computer.
My exercise routine consisted of occasional walks in my neighborhood and some yard work.
I felt guilty about not being in shape like when I was younger.
I often talked about going to the gym to workout but I had a lot of excuses for not going:
I hate waiting in line to use sweaty gym machines.
I don’t like showering in public.
I hate paying expensive gym fees.
I thought about getting a home gym or weight machine but my house is so full of stuff that I did not know where to store a big bulky home gym.
I knew deep down that a big home gym would wind up being an expensive clothes hanger.
With the TRX Suspension trainer I have no more excuses to not exercise because it sets up easily in less than one minute by connecting to a tree branch in my backyard or to a door inside my house.
The TRX is so small (weighs less than 2 lbs) and it stores in a nylon mesh bag that can be kept anywhere even in a backpack or glove compartment of a car.
With the TRX you can virtually workout anywhere!
Also I love the fact that I don’t have to worry about lugging around huge weights or worry about them falling on me while I am working out.
The TRX Suspension Trainer makes your body a machine by allowing you to leverage your own body weight when you perform the TRX exercises.
After working out for about 12 weeks on the TRX Suspension trainer I am definitely stronger.
My core strength has improved so much that I no longer get tired doing chores around my house.
Mowing my lawn is a breeze.
Moving furniture is no longer a problem.
I can even climb stairs without getting winded.
When I began working out on the TRX Suspension trainer I was not able to do a suspended crunch exercise due to a lack of strength in my arms, legs, abs and back.
However, TRX exercise has strengthened my core so much that I now actually enjoy doing the TRX suspended crunches.
Below you can view a video of me in my backyard demonstrating how to do a suspended crunch with my TRX Suspension trainer. (Please excuse the poor video quality)
The suspended crunch is just one of about 200 core strengthening exercises that you can perform on the TRX Suspension Trainer.
I don’t know if the TRX Suspension Trainer will work this well for you but what if it does?
