TRX Suspension Training For Ultimate Fitness Success

January 17th, 2008 · No Comments · Main

“It’s just your body weight working against gravity, so you won’t get injured. Now my wife uses one at home and I’m addicted.”
Drew Brees
NFL Quarterback, New Orleans Saints

“I like the product so much its an integral part of my training. The main advantage of the TRX is the versatility and the way it can do so much at once, from core to balance to control to dynamic to strength to stamina. I describe it to people as a combination of pilates, core strength work, cable workout, and body weight exercises all in one. I hang it from a timber joist in my garage, meaning I can get a conditioning workout by walking out of my back door - no traveling to get to a gym with a load of equipment, which may not be as good anyway…”
Gary Turner
Professional K-1 Fighter and Kickboxer 10 x World Champion

Recently my friend Joe introduced me to a new type of exercise system called the . The TRX Suspension Trainer is the original bodyweight-based portable Suspension Training system that increases strength, balance and for people of all fitness levels.

While researching the TRX Suspension Trainer I soon discovered that is used by the following professional athletes:

Drew Brees: NFL, New Orleans Saints
Bas Rutten: MMA, UFC Heavyweight Champion
Reggie Bush: NFL, New Orleans Saints
George St. Pierre: MMA UFC Welterweight Champion
LaDainian Tomlinson: NFL, San Diego Chargers
Ben Leber: NFL, Minnesota Vikings
Brandon Vera: MMA, UFC
Roger Huerta: MMA UFC
Carmello Anthony: NBA player, Denver Nuggets;
Laura Diaz: LPGA
Notah Begay: Pro golfer
Shaun White: Professional snowboarder, Olympic gold medalist
Garrett McNamara: Pro big wave surfer
Johnny Lewis: Super Motocross athlete
Heather Fuhr: Multisports, Professional Triathlete
Chris McDonald: Pro triathlete
Marilyn MacDonald: Pro triathlete
Paula-Newby Fraser: Pro triathlete
Jessie Stensland: Pro triathlete
Levi Leipheimer: Pro Cyclist

Yes, the list is long and impressive.

I decided to give the TRX Professional a try. I ordered my TRX Suspension trainer and it was shipped the same day. Also customer service was first rate they quickly answered all of my questions.

When I first tried the TRX suspension trainer I was very impressed by the ruggedness of the nylon straps. The soft neoprene rubber hand grips were very comfortable in my hands.

The TRX Professional came with a DVD complete with set up instructions and demonstrations of many exercises that may be performed on the TRX Suspension trainer. The DVD was very detailed professionally done.

I strapped my TRX to a tree in my backyard but you can attach yours just about anywhere…even to a door in your home.

As I worked through the exercises I was amazed at how the TRX gives such a strenuous and thorough workout. The feel was similar to that of an expensive Nautilus machine at a gym or spa.

Because you are using your own bodyweight you don’t have to struggle with handling heavy weights or changing settings. With the System, all you need to do to vary the intensity is adjust the angle of your body while performing an exercise.

The TRX Suspension Trainer is extremely portable because it weighs less than two pounds and stores in a small pouch that can easily be stored in your gym bag or back pack.

I am so impressed and excited about TRX bodyweight training that I have been giving demonstrations to my friends.
